What is the Coding Accuracy Support System (CASS) and why does Mammologix use a fee-based USPS certified subscription to process the examinee addresses provided them by their clients?

CASS Certified Address Verification

The USPS offers CASS certification to all mailers, service bureaus, and software vendors that would like to evaluate the quality of their address-matching software and improve the accuracy of their ZIP+4, carrier route, and five-digit coding.

What gets corrected?

  • City and street name misspellings
  • Street suffixes such as Way, Court, Terrace
  • ZIP code and ZIP+4

When does Mammologix Use CASS?

Each examinee address is processed through a CASS software program that performs standard USPS-graded measures to test and update the quality of addresses when the data is either merged or keyed into the Mammologix system.
