What does Mammologix do to help with examinees who move or change addresses between the time their initial screening mammogram is performed and a year later when we want a letter sent reminding them it is time for their annual mammogram?

To tackle this challenge Mammologix Services incorporates National Change-of-Address (NCOA) Processing.

It is estimated that each year 40 million individuals have a change of address in the United States, according to the Office of Inspector General United States Postal Service. In fiscal year (FY) 2013 more than 158 billion pieces of mail and reported almost 6.8 billion pieces as undeliverable as addressed (UAA). This represents a national UAA percentage of 4.3 percent!

To reduce and recover the costs associated with UAA mail to examinees being communicated by letter sent to remind them of an upcoming early follow-up or annual mammogram, Mammologix has embraced National Change-of-Address (NCOA) processing. This technology is a secure dataset of approximately 160 million permanent change-of-address (COA) records consisting of names and addresses of individuals, families, and businesses who have filed a change of address with the USPS.

Twice annually each examinee address is matched using the NCOALink product, patented and licensed by the United States Postal Service® (USPS®). Address corrections are made when a new address is returned during this MOVE Update process. Current NCOALink Processing Summary Reporting is monitored by Mammologix monthly. This value-added service provides an average of 5% change to examinee addresses processed and typically keeps undeliverable mail to less than 1%.
